I’m so sorry for the things I said,

And expectations I didn’t meet.

I’m so sorry for my ignorance,

As you broke down in defeat.

I’m so sorry for everything,

All I say and all I do.

I’m so sorry I couldn’t be a better friend to you,

I’m so sorry the world beats you down.

I’m so sorry I wasn’t there when you needed me,

I’m so sorry you were breaking and I couldn’t see.

I’m so sorry for all the lies and tears,

I’m so sorry I couldn’t fight away your fears.

I’m so sorry I’m not that great,

It seems as if I’m the person to hate.

But I will be here until the very end,

Because you will always be my best friend.
